The Celebration of Engineers Day In India

Engineers day is celebrated in remembrance of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, He was an excellent engineer and a good person. Engineers day is celebrated on the 15th of September of every year in India. This is celebrated in various places including engineering colleges and government authorities. Besides, this day is also celebrated in schools to increase the curiosity of students about engineering.

The Celebration of Engineers Day In India

He is awarded for his work by “the Bharat Ratna” which is the highest state award of India in the year 1955. Besides, he is a well-known person in India because of his exceptional contribution to India. He was the chief engineer in the Cauvery River Project in which the Krishna Sagar dam was built by him. There are many dams in India that are still functional that were built by Sir MV. In addition to that, Sir  MV was highly interested in higher studies and Mysore University was established because of his conviction and will. There are so many skills in Sir MV, which make him different from others including Punctuality, perfect clothing, perfectionism, fitness, courage, fearless patriot, and dedication to work.

In the current situation, Women are also working as an engineer in the best way. It is not a matter of gender now as women are working on space projects as an engineer. Engineering is a common stream now and it is helpful in the development of a country as well. Therefore, it should be considered as a backbone of a country to develop new projects in different streams including Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Electronics, and Computer Science. Thus, people are aware of the importance of an engineer in their daily life.
