Udaipur: The Best Place in Rajasthan to Visit Historical Places

Udaipur is a well-known historical place. It is known as Lakecity because of the number of lakes in Udaipur. It is one of the historical cities in India which shows a great example of courage and a winning spirit.  Udaipur is so pleasant in most of the seasons, especially rain and winters. I will share my personal experience with Lakecity including its inner beauty and elegant nature. It is the place where you can feel nature, history, environment, culture, and so many things. I hope you can see the place through my eyes. I will discuss the best places in Udaipur to visit.

Different Places in Udaipur to Visit:

I love this city because of various reasons including beautiful lakes, awesome weather, best hotels, best food, best people, the best culture, best environment, and many others. There are so many things in Udaipur which you should watch. Therefore, you should take 3-5 days to stay in Udaipur.  However, you can visit Udaipur in a single day but I think you miss many places that you must visit in Udaipur.

The City Palace of Udaipur

City palace

The city palace is the main attraction in Udaipur and Mostly travellers are visiting The City Place of Udaipur. It is a great example of a Historical place which is situated near the lake Pichola. The View from lake Pichola is awesome. You should watch the whole parts of the palace.

Moreover, you can pay Rs 300 to Rs 500 to visit the City Palace. There are three gates of City Palace and you can take the entry from two main gates with valid tickets. Student and group discount is available. You can take your camera as well with an additional charge. This is one of the best places in the city.

Lack Pichola:

Lake Pichola is the biggest lake in Udaipur city and you can enjoy boating in this lake for Rs 200 to 1000 each member. It is a beautiful lake and it makes a huge impact on the beauty of the city. You can see various things from Lake Pichola such as City Palace, Sajjangadh, Jag Madir, Ropeway, and many others.

You can see the thee Hotel Taj from here which is a seven-star hotel in Udaipur. Many celebrities have enjoyed the accommodation and their personal event at this place, as it is situated in the middle of Lake Pichola. Moreover, you can enjoy the sunset from here which is my favourite in Udaipur.

The Taj Lake Place Hotel:

The Taj Lake Palace hotel is a wonderful place in Udaipur. It is managed by the Taj Group as well. You can reach there by boat only. Besides, it is the most beautiful hotel in Udaipur. However, there are many other five-star hotels are available in the city including the Leela, Udaivilas, Oberoi Uday Vilas, and many others.

This belongs to the best places in Udaipur for staying and enjoying your travelling. Thus, VIPs and VVIPs are staying in this place.

Shukhadiya Circle:

Shukhadiya Circle is an awesome place in Lakecity where you can eat and enjoy boating as well. This is a good place to spend an evening, as it is near to FS and Saheliyo ki Badi. it is a small garden in which a big fountain is running with bright lights.

The Monsoon Palace (Sajjangarh):

The Monsoon Palace or Sajjangadh fort is also my favourite, as the view of Udaipur is ultimate from that palace. You can see the whole of Udaipur from here as well as a beautiful view of lakes including Lake Pichola and Lake Fateh Sagar.

Moti Mangri:

Moti Mangri is a well-known place in Lakecity as the statue of Mararan Pratap and Chetak is situated at that place. Besides, you can capture various good pictures with I love Udaipur and other places. It is a well maintain place in Udaipur and you should visit this place once with a Rs 100 charge per member.

I love this service to take charge for visiting all those places, which is used for the caretaking of them. It is better to safe at the time of travel. After COVID-19, all the places are sanitized and use full precautions to avoid coronavirus. I love the cleaners of this city and the smart city project is going on in Udaipur which is maintained by the L&T.

The Jagdish Temple: Udaipur

Jagdish Temple is more than 500 years and it is an excellent example of stone art. God Jagdish Maharaj is famous in Udaipur and everyone prays here for the wellness of their family. it is near the City Palace; So You can visit it in an easy way.

Fateh Sagar:

Fateh Sagar lake is popular for a walk and eating food, as Chopati is situated there for eating different types of Rajasthan and Gujarati food including PavBhaji, Dabeli, Dosa, Idli, Golgappe, Dahi Pudi, Bhel, Aloo Tikki, Sandwich, Kulhad Tea and Coffee, and many other items. The view of Nehru garden is ultimate from here, which is situated in the middle of the lake Fateh Sagar (FS).

Rajsthani Food:

If we talk about the food, Rajsthani s my favourite food and especially Daal, Bati, and Churma. We must try this traditional food in Udaipur, which is famous in all the world. You can feel the really Rajasthani taste here. I love the local food as well, which is so delicious.

Most of Gujarati travellers try Rajasthani food in Udaipur and they are so happy with it. There are so many restaurants in Udaipur that serve Rajasthani thali. However, it is so spicy but you can manage it with sweet churma with lots of Ghee. Moreover, Lehsun chatni and Gatta Sabji are so yummy in Udaipur.

Ropeway:

The ropeway is another adventure in Udaipur. It is used to reach the Karni Mata temple, which is situated near the Dudh Talai. You can enjoy the ride of ropeway within Rs 150 per member. it will provide a clear view of Udaipur. Moreover, it is an adventure as well. you can choose stairs to reach Karni Mata Temple.

Boating in Lake Pichola:

Boating is another adventure at Udaipur. You can enjoy boating from different places including FS, Lake Pichola, City palace, Hotels, and others. The Oberai Uday Vilas provides boats for their guest as well. You can enjoy your evening in the boats as well.

In addition, the lake city is surrounded by different lakes which are connected to each other. So you feel that you are in Venice. Moreover, many foreigners are visiting Lakecity for its beauty and historical places. Besides, Indian travellers are also enjoying the beauty and taste of Lakecity. Arawali Mountains are spread around Udaipur and there are some deep mines in Udaipur such as Jhamer Kotra and Mattoon.

Besides, the above picture is taken from the Moti Magari. it shows the beauty of FS. It is the best place to enjoy your evening. I spent many evenings there to see the sunset and evening walk at FS. Besides, the food Gali is an awesome place, where you can enjoy the view and food.

Saheliyo ki Badi:

Saheliyo ki Badi is a beautiful place with lots of plants and fountains. This is a private place for Queens which is created by the Maharana ji. You can read all the historical details in any place about these places but you should know the beauty of all those places.

Dudh Talai: Udaipur

This is a beautiful Dudh Tali and Lake Pichola. It is a nice view of all the things including SajjanGadh. You should watch this place and you can use a ropeway to reach this place. It is a good place to enjoy your morning and afternoon. You can eat and drink some food here as well as take some good photos in rented clothes which belongs to Traditional Marwadi Culture.

The Oberai Uday Vilas:

The Oberai Uday Vilas is a 5-star hotel in Udaipur and most of celebrities stay here. It is an awesome place in lake city and most of the travellers are staying in this hotel. Besides, it is so costly because of its world-class services to its guests.

It is a normal place with a number of different things. It is a well-established and managed city. You love the name of places as well such as Chandpol, SuralPol, HatiPol, UdayPol, and many other places.

Ayad Cenotophs:

It is an Ayad historical Cenotaphs, which is created in memory of Maharanas of Udaipur. It is a great example of history and culture as well. So, you should watch this place in Lakecity. Moreover, there are many places in Udaipur, which are having their own memory. In addition to that, you can visit Gulab Bagh and the Royal showroom for Cars in Udaipur, which are awesome places in the city. Udaipur is also popular for destination weddings as well. Besides, many travellers are travelling for watching these marriages as well.

You can visit malls and markets in the city, such as Celebration mall, and the Lake city mall, where you can get all the food and shopping shops including McDonald’s, Dominos, Pizza hut, and others. Travellers should travel to Ghats in Udaipur as well, such as Gangour Ghat, and many others.
