Multipurpose health worker: What is it?
[1] The main employee in a subcenter is a multipurpose health worker (MPHW). [2] Auxiliary nurse midwives (ANMs) or multipurpose workers (MPWs) who are female and HWs who are male (M) serve as the community’s first point of contact and deliver all primary healthcare services.
Who can receive Mphw?
10+2 in Art (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Physiology, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, Genealogy, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, and Philosophy) and English Component Elective of science or health care science shall be the minimum educational requirements.
